I’m pretty sure I should just keep a flight booked to Austin with an every-six-weeks cadence.
That is not a complaint, I absolutely love having an excuse to come home to hug my grandma’s neck, eat at the newest + hippest foodie spots, see live music, do yoga, and SPEAK at a little food conference. Seriously just pinch me on that one.
When BlogHer Food (rolled out the orange carpet) emailed me telling me they had selected me to be a speaker for#BlogHerFood16, I couldn’t even imagine what I could possibly bring to the table (pun in intended) for food bloggers. The women who attend and speak at this conference are seriously PROS, have not only been around the block – they built it and designed it, and they have earned their stripes as full-time online content creation experts.
Enter me: just a little vagabond yogi with food blog about healthy recipes that don’t suck. If you’d like me to, I’ll even teach you how to do it during one of my online group detox programs.
I have a food blog without a single ad blinking in your face.
I write about experiences that have impacted me in a meaningful way in hopes that it can help you gain a new perspective, have a mind-shift, or simply learn about a new food concept to you.
My passion isn’t blogging. My passion is healthy food and sharing what I’ve learned over the years with as many women as I can.
So rather than wasting any more time listening to the little Negative Nancies in my head saying “You don’t have anything to say,” and “There is someone out there so much better than you for this,” I promptly silenced those voices proclaiming that I DO have something VALUABLE to share, and I am sharing because IT MATTERS not because I’m getting paid.
I want you to read this blog because it resonates with WHO YOU ARE or WHO YOU YEARN TO BE.
I want you to share my recipes and ideas with your friends because you love them so much.
And I want to continue to create content that impacts your health, wellness, and life. Period.
So, tomorrow, I get to share a bit of my story with hundreds of women who are ready and waiting to listen and learn. And I suspect that NONE of them think I don’t deserve to be there.
THAT’S that truth that I will walk in. And THAT’S the truth that you should walk in: you deserve to live the healthiest and happiest life possible, whatever that means to you.
And if I can, in some small way, impact you, then today was a great day.
