For the last two weeks, Austin was host to the 2014 SXSW Music + Interactive + Film Festival. That translates into a lot of eating, drinking, music, blisters from new shoes, exhaustion, high ATM withdrawal fees, more eating, and repeat. It is a time of joining friends new and old to celebrate technology, music, food, and this great city.
A few of the music highlights from the past week include Gary Clark Jr. (shredded my face off with his guitar), Melissa Etheridge (rocked my socks off like she is still 20), Cocos Lovers (a random Mumford-ish band on the side of the street from England – how could I not love?), Snoop Dogg (who apparently has turned a page in life to become Snoop Lion), Roxy Roca (funk brass band), David Ramirez (acoustic-guitar-sing-to-my-soul-music)…the list goes on and on!
While the mimosas that were flowing many-a-morning were delicious, I am definitely ready to get back on track in terms of healthy eating, exercise, and lifestyle. This girl needs some yoga in a bad way. I am launching my final Winter Wellness Detox program this Tuesday, March 18th…you should join me!
Due to lack of sleep, this post will be one of images taken by my crusty trusty iPhone (which only died twice)!
